Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years’ continuous sobriety (M330)
- 2 years’ service as a GSR (in any District) (M330)
- A minimum of 12 months’ service as a member of District 5 General Service Committee (M330)
Scope and Procedure:
- Accountable for all District monies received and distributed. Makes bank deposits and pays District expenses that are budgeted and approved. Assists Finance Committee in budget process.
- Maintains record of all contributions and expenditures.(M330)
- Sends Letters of Appreciation for 7th Tradition Contributions to all groups.(M242)
- Reconciles checking account on monthly basis using District 5’s QuickBooks software.(M360,361)
- E-mails Treasurers report to District Secretary following monthly district meeting.
- Attends all District meetings(M330)
- At monthly District meeting(M330)
- reports income and expenses for preceding month
- reports group contributions for previous month(M21)
- insures GSR’ have accurate 7th Tradition addresses
- supervises basket collection at all District meetings and functions(M217)
- provides copy of monthly Treasurer’s report for GSR’s.
- Participates in Area 15 Quarterly Treasurer meeting and makes report at following District meeting.(M266a)
- Reimburses all qualified District 5 trusted servants attending the Area assembly no later than the next District business meeting.(M309,M379)
- Safeguards and maintains a District laptop computer.(M364)
- Reimburses all officers for copies printed for benefit of the District.(M322)
- Reminds all standing committees to submit an annual budget to Finance chair by October business meeting each year.
- Reviews the Legacy of Service document (found on District 5’s Treasurer webpage) throughout their term and informs the District 5 Web Chair and Current Practices committee of any changes needed.
